About Olivia

Olivia James was born out of a lifelong love of jewelry, creativity, and the places that have shaped me.

My love for jewelry started young—really young. I’m a June baby, so every year for my birthday, my mom would add another pearl to my strand of pearls. One of my earliest jewelry memories is a pink pearl bracelet that my mom gave me as a potty-training gift. I still have it today. I’ve also been beading and making things with my hands since I was little, so creating jewelry has always felt like a natural extension of my creativity.

Outside of Olivia James, I’m a full-time dance educator, choreographer, and the founder and Artistic Director of Ballet Rêve, a contemporary ballet company based in New Jersey. Dance has been a such a huge part of my life, and leaving my professional dance career felt like starting over. Through Ballet Rêve, I’ve had the opportunity to bring my work and my dancers to France—an experience that has deeply influenced the way I see art, travel, and storytelling.

Olivia James is inspired by all of those things: my travels, my love for my hometown of Asbury Park and the Jersey Shore, and my appreciation for timeless fashion. I’m drawn to pieces that feel effortless but special—jewelry you can wear every day, layer, collect, and eventually pass down.

I hand-select pearls, gemstones, and metals with an eye toward pieces that feel both classic and a little unexpected. Every piece is made with the hope that it becomes part of your own story—something to be lived in, loved, and worn for years to come.
